You heard me. Leave the guy alone.
We all know that he is probably a spoiled child just reacting to his recent realization of being a black quarterback in the most competitive league in the world. We also know that he is a young man, some think too young to be earning over ten million dollars per year, not even being a starting quarterback.
I think that Colin Kaepernick is a young man that has not reached personal maturity to make mature decisions, or even be able to understand his place in the scheme of things. Most of us don’t get that far, anyway.
Most of us don’t earn over ten million dollars per year, either. My opinion is that Colin Kaepernick is just now starting to understand that he is an African American, and has been discriminated against all his life, inspite of being raised by a white family and having been doted on and favored by everyone who has ever come into contact with him. There are conflicts here, and he is probably in the process of trying to understand them.
The San Francisco Forty-Niners have not featured Kaepernick for a while, and Kaepernick is thinking that the reason is racial. OK. Let him think that. Maybe he can take his millions of dollars and actually help someone.
As far as Colin Kaepernick not standing for the National Anthem, well, that’s within his freedom as a citizen of the United States of America. Maybe he can take some time and think about this, and then decide what kind of national music he really likes.
Something tells me that Kaepernick is not the brightest bulb in the scoreboard, anyway, and that has something to do with his sitting on the bench.
Let the guy go his own way.
