Obama Insults America 10

Barack Obama portrait

Our Arrogant President

Barack Obama, President of The United States, has once again insulted the intelligence of the nation. The horrid slaughter of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people in an Orlando night club was an act obviously inspired by Islamic ideology. The murderer called 911, confessing that he pledged allegiance to ISIS, and was heard chanting Allahu Akbar (God is greater), the ubiquitous battle-cry of Islamic terrorists world-wide.

In his speech on TV today, Obama said that the motivation for the attack was unknown. BULL! We all know the motivation because the killer himself told us, in his own words, and in his own 911 recorded confession. What else does the President need to recognize this problem?

Apparently, President Obama still thinks that deeds like the Orlando terrorist attack is the result of lax gun laws. He said the killer was full of hate. Obama used the word, hate, several times in his speech of excuses. The President is staying with his arrogant narrative.

Islamic terrorism is the culprit.

Obama is to blame for not recognizing the threat.

Trump’s Outlandish Positions Have Meaning 4

Donald Trump is really good at inserting his foot into his oral cavity. In fact he does it so often I wonder if it is all on purpose. Apparently, others feel the same way. Over at the Power Line Blog Paul Mirengoff has an article about Trump’s Vince Foster inference of a suspicious death. As most will remember, the determination was that Vince Foster, Hillary Clinton’s law partner, committed suicide.

Of course, Trump is backing off the idea that the Clinton’s were involved in Foster’s death. However, Mirengoff and others seem to think that Hillary Clilnton’s problems and caustic personality lead to Foster’s suicide. After all, Foster is thought to have stolen the billing records for the White Water scandal case, and then to have given them to Hillary. If Foster would have testified against Hillary and Bill, they would both be in prison at this moment.

That’s why the entire country is still suspicious of Hillary’s machinations. Wherever she goes, she is accompanied by her personal bubble of corruption. In all of her endeavors, there is the smell of crime and sometimes death. One of the hallmarks of the Clinton’s is that their conduct is always questionable enough that even natural deaths can be attributed to them.

So, Trump kicks over this particular nest, and watched while people go ballistic. While all this is going on, he takes a shot at the judge who is adjudicating his Trump University law suit.

Oh, my! Trump has now accused a Federal District judge of being prejudiced against Trump’s case. The press is falling all over themselves using accusatory words like, racist, prejudice, and Hispanophobic ( I made that one up). Is Trump so stupid as to think he can win the law suit by bad-mouthing the judge?

There may be a method to his madness. Trump may be angling for a new judge because this one is against him with some pretty far-out rulings. US District Judge Gonzalo Curiel is first generation American citizen, and his parents were Mexican nationals. Curiel is an outspoken supporter of Hillary Clinton, and there is no wonder why Trump thinks he is getting screwed.

The judge is closely affiliated with La Raza, a racist Mexican organization that advocates the annexation of California and other western states into Mexico. The organization is a communist front, and is part of the Hate America group of people. This judge is a dishonest, racist, Hillary Clinton supporter and should  recuse himself from the case.

I think Donald Trump is doing us all a personal favor for pointing out the bias and prejudices of Federal Court judges.

So, when Trump sounds like he is saying stupid things, think again. The guy will surprise you.

Trump Is Misunderstood 6

trump_speechIt was a raucous press conference. Yesterday, Tuesday, Donald Trump hosted a press conference at Trump Tower to finally reveal the amounts and dispositions of the money he raised for military veterans when he skipped a Fox News Channel Republican presidential debate.

The press conference was either a resounding success, or a miserable failure, depending on your feelings for Donald Trump. He was vintage Trump with combative, in-your-face, go-to-hell press diatribes headlining his remarks. At one point, he called ABC’s Tom Llamas a sleaze. Llamas didn’t deserve the insult even though ABC News is a sleazy organization.

The press was attacking Trump the whole time during the conference, and it was not cool. You see, they just don’t understand Donald. Donald Trump is your best friend forever if you say nice things about him. If you don’t say nice things, you are demoted to the sleaze level, fast.

The press could have avoided the whole mess just by asking their questions with phrasing like used with Hillary Clinton. Instead of saying, “Why did you skip a televised debate by claiming you raised money for vets?”, why not say, “It was so thoughtful that you skipped that useless televised debate to raise money for the vets. Do you plan to release the details of this wonderful effort?”

Contrast the press attitude regarding Hillary Clinton. Hillary is almost never held to account for her straw-man answers. For example, she keeps claiming that most previous Secretaries of State used personal email. That is not the issue. The issue is that Hillary, exclusively, used a personal email server for ALL of her personal and official email, thereby putting classified information at peril for none other than political reasons. Why doesn’t the press corner her on this obvious distortion?

The press is in the bag for Hillary, and hates Donald Trump. It gets that simple.

I don’t want to put myself in a position of defending everything Trump says. I don’t agree with everything Trump says, but I do believe he has the right to treat the press like they treat him.

Trump may lose the election, but not because he fights with the press. It makes great theater.

Give’em hell, Donald!

Honor To Our Brothers 3

I wrote this article four years ago, and believe that it is time to republish. Honor to all my brothers.

Gonna' Say It

Today, I want to memorialize two 19-year-old men who were killed in wars, my brothers Charles and Jimmy.

Charles was the first-born in the family, and was born into a poor, rural household. The year was 1923, and the Great Depression was just around the corner. The entire South was in poverty in the early twentieth century, not having gotten over decades of discriminatory Reconstruction, depression, and destructive farming techniques.

On February 4, 1941 Charles enlisted in the Army at Ft. McPherson, GA. He was radio operator, and was sent to the Hawaiian Department.  That was before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7 of that year. He got there in time for the attack, and eventually wrote a letter to his younger brother, Ray, telling him of the experience. We still have copies of that letter.

After the attack, personnel were confined to the base…

Zika Virus Reply

Zika By State

Zika By State

So, how do you fight the Zika virus? Stay away from Brazilians.

The first recorded case of the Zika virus in Georgia was not from mosquitoes sneaking across the Georgia – Florida state line on I-95, it was from a woman who had sex with a man from Brazil.

The effort against the Zika virus has erupted into another partisan political fight. Obama insists that he needs $1.9 Billion to fight the virus, and the Congressional Republicans are taking their good time in approving the request.

Why?

First, the Congress is just doing its job. If the Congress does not investigate budget requests, then they are derelict in doing their job. That’s why we send our Congressional Reps to Washington.

Second, the Federal Government has unspent money allocated previously for the Ebola virus scare. Congress suggested that Obama use that pool of cash of $600 Million while his $1.9 Billion request was investigated. This is nothing more than due-diligence on the part of the Republicans.

The Zika virus seems to be another crisis to be milked. The long established pattern is to take a seemingly urgent situation, scream that it is an absolute emergency, and then force the Congress into allocating money not only to “fight” the emergency, but to fund other programs that would never get funded in the light of an ordinary budget bill.

Remember climate change, carbon taxes, and the EPA forcing power companies and mining companies out of business? This is the same sort of made-up emergency. There may be a grain of truth at the bottom, but the history of Stalin and Hitler tell us that the most powerful propaganda has only a grain of truth. All else is manufactured.

The available $600 Million from the Ebola-scare program is more than enough to take care of whatever near-term things we can do. Besides, the real fight against Zika is on the local government level. Cities, counties, and states have to spray, and eliminate local habitats of the insect. What will the Feds do, buy a billion cans of bug spray? Ridiculous!

The proposed research programs for the CDC are not near term projects. They are all long term, and will take months to get going. So, why is the whole $1.9 Billion needed immediately?

It’s  not!

The Ebola-scare money is more than enough for a great start against the Zika-scare emergency. The money is there, and now is the time to put it to good use. Waiting a couple of weeks for the Congress to do its job is not a big deal.

Trump Clinches GOP Nomination 4

Donald Trump , Republican Candidate for President of The United States

Donald Trump , Republican Candidate for President of The United States

Oh, my goodness! Donald Trump has enough delegates to claim the Republican nomination for President of The United States. How many pundits have you seen on the television, today, talk about how impossible this seemed one year ago. I was in agreement, then, but now I think I have figured why Donald Trump is so popular.

Donald Trump is a WINNER!

Yeah, I know. Winning has become such a bad thing in modern American life, primary because of those who are hesitant to compete. In life no matter what economic system you are under, you have to compete for your status and eventual level of lifestyle.

Sometimes, I think Trump is so inarticulate that his message is not getting across. It gets across. People understand winning, and they are tired of losing. Trump has virtually patented that approach to the Presidency, and it is about time.

As Americans, we are tired of losing. We are tired of those who say we cannot stand up to Russia, China, or Islam. It’s all loser talk. We don’t need anymore losers in the White House.

Trump has always been weak on policy, but that is correctable. Policies come and go. Believe it or not, I happen to think that Obama’s approach to Viet Nam is a good one because any relationship we have with Viet Nam is a thorn in the side of the Chinese.

Policies may be complex, difficult to implement, and result in things we cannot foresee. That’s OK. Donald Trump is a bright guy, and I would rather trust the future of our country to a winner than a prevaricating politician and scofflaw like Hillary Clinton.

Milquetoasts and cowards like Barack Obama can ruin our country for generations. Winners can bring us back on line fast. It takes energy and dedication, none of which have been present in former GOP Presidential candidates, to turn this country around. Donald Trump is the only man in eight years that can do this.

No matter what people think about intellect, policy, and politics, winning is still the most important. If you can’t win then find something else to do with your time other than politics.

Trump is a winner. Pass the word around.

Where Did Our Country Go? 7

This last week we took a trip to the rural setting of my parents’ origin. People with my surname have been in a couple of those counties since long before the Civil War. Several of my ancestors fought in the War of 1812 against the Creek Indians, and against the British at the Battle of New Orleans.

Today, very few of the descendants of those early settlers are left in that country side. The old family farms are now growing trees. In the early twentieth century one could drive down those dirt roads, passing one farm after another. That’s not the case, today.

The farms have disappeared, sometimes replaced with double-wide mobile homes that would look better in a junk yard.  Sometimes, junk cars litter front yards. The old home county is getting to be a mess.

My cousins who remain there tell me that meth amphetamines are a huge problem with the younger generation. They worry about gang wars in some of the larger towns. Still, many country people send their kids to college so that they can do better than to stay at home where there are few jobs outside of the timber industry. If the younger generation forsakes education, they are doomed to lives of uncertain income, and even poverty.

There just aren’t enough jobs to go around, not even burger flipping jobs.

Those of us whose parents left that part of the world have prospered in today’s cities. Hope is disappearing from rural America. The scenes I have projected above are repeated throughout the rural south and Midwest. Unless there is a factory or other industry local to the rural scene, what are today’s rural youth do do?

They country farms of our youthful vacations and trips are gone. Family farms are almost extinct. Populations have been shifting since the mid twentieth century, and they are still moving away from rural America.

There are TV shows where rich people are buying horse farms, or large tracts of land. I don’t see where this will bring back rural economies. They have changed forever.

Hillary Stunned In West Virginia 2

Donald Trump might say Hillary got schlonged by Sanders. One thing is for sure, Hillary is persona non grata in West Virginia. This is the direct result of her support for the ignorant Obama administration’s green policies, one of which is closing coal mines. West Virginia’s primary product is coal.

How dumb can you get? Hillary’s position was roughly this: “Don’t worry about your jobs disappearing. We will implement government programs to retrain you to hold lower paying jobs.”  Democrats don’t give working people credit to know when they are getting screwed. These people know, and they also know what to do about the situation. Bye-bye Hillary.

Donald Trump really romped through the West Virginia primary. Fox News called the election for Trump with only a few percent of the precincts reporting. The Trump turnout was that massive.

From what the pundits are saying about the last round of Quinnipiac polls Trump is dead even when juxtaposed against Hillary in the general election in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. With his performance getting better as he goes along, this could mean problems for Clinton’s campaign.

There aren’t many states left to vote in the primary process for either party. It is obvious that Trump and Clinton will be their party’s candidates. What remains to be seen is how socialist Bernie Sanders will affect the Democrat convention and election process. His effect cannot be good.

Folks, it is getting to be popcorn time. Sit back, watch the cable news, and enjoy all the foibles and mistakes in the upcoming campaign. Just remember that Hillary Clinton is a lying witch, and Donald Trump will wear the Superman cape.

Here is an interview with Superman you will enjoy.

Get Biblical – Quote Hezekiah 2

My religous upbringing was in a Southern Baptist church. As a child, I did what Baptists do and memorized the books of the Bible. The Old Testament books were difficult to remember because of all those weird sounding Old Testament names.

Names like Ezekiel, Hosea, Obadiah, Zephaniah, and all those dudes start sounding alike. This leaves the door open for someone to be creative with the situation. You can make things up.

To practice our Biblical skills, we were put to the test with “sword drills”, an exercise whereby we were given a book with chapter and verse to find. The first student to find the verse would win that round of competition. It was actually fun.

Then there was the time that the Sunday school teacher challenged the sword drill kids to find a verse in the book of Hezekiah. Nobody won. There is no book called Hezekiah, although Hezekiah was a real person and  king. With that joke comes a lesson. Don’t assume that anybody knows what they are doing, expert or not.

A professor of Old Testament, Claude Mariottini has found a way to capitalize on the non-existent  book of Hezekiah. Whenever you want to win an argument, just throw out a Biblical quotation. If you don’t know were it comes from, use Hezekiah. It sounds legit, and you just might win the argument.

I can just hear Donald Trump defending his Wall. Quoting Hezekiah, “Build a wall and they shall not come.” Or, how about, “To keep the wolf out, you shut the gate”. Hezekiah 8: 3 – 6.  Now, that sounds Biblical.

Winding things up for The Donald. “The rich man conquers, and sends the witch to prison”. Hezekiah 10:11
