Islamophobia Is A Good Thing! 5

Retired Lt General Michael Flynn generated a lot of flak by suggesting that being afraid of Islam is reasonable. The New York Times and other purveyors of FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) rigorously objects to this principled position. The NYT is literally going bananas over Flynn’s appointment.

Let’s investigate just what the word Islamophobia means. FEAR! So, why should anyone fear Islam? Muslims (Islamic people) number a large portion of the world’s population, and anything we say about this group carries meaning.

In a nutshell Muslims want us DEAD. This is the ultimate physical issue, and some people deny the truth of this statement. Just read what your terrorist friends have to say about it. They pull no punches in saying that it is their religious duty to kill infidels.

So, why are liberals so sure they won’t get their heads lopped-off their shoulders? Is this one of those fears that is overdone and hyped beyond recognition? Maybe some appreciation of the numbers involved would be meaningful.

Not all Muslims in the world are terrorists they say, but,  almost all present day terrorists in the world are Muslims. Those two statements are equally true. What we have is information that is not conflicting, and support the same thesis. We in the West have a problem with a culture and religion that is tribally-based, and depends on ancient eye-for-eye remedies rather than on anything approaching a civilized conduct.

A Google search on Islamic beheading, or head-chopping, will reveal hundreds of thousands of possible results, and very few of those take a positive view of this popular Muslim activity. Gems from the Huffington Post spring to the fore with titillating themes like, 10 Reasons You Should Not Fear Muslims, an article which starts with the infantile words, “When I was a toddler, I was terrified of ladybugs.” What clarity this gives to life and death issues!

Equating fear-of-death with an irrational fear of Lady Bugs, the author also tries to hide from irrevocable  facts by saying, “All terrorists are Muslims EXCEPT for the gigantic majority who aren’t.” This is a false statement trying to deny that almost ALL current day terrorists in the world are Muslims. No amount of equivocating and FUD can change fact.

When confronted with facts, General Flynn’s statement becomes not only reasonable, but the only statement that can be logically made about Islam in today’s world. It is a healthy thing to respect the purveyors of death and destruction. It is smart to protect one’s nation from threats.

Lt General Flynn is pretty smart, after all.

  1. Like I said, it’s a good thing. Nothing irrational about being afraid of death-dealing bed-sheet dressed knife-wielding desperadoes on a religious mission.

  2. BOB! I had the same thought! GREAT POST. “What’s WRONG with Islamaphobia?” What’s wrong with BEING CAREFUL??? and when are THEY going to take it upon themselves to show US they’re safe? Why do we need to ask for that assurance and get called racist and xenophobes when we do?? I love Flynn’s choice…HURRAH!

  3. Z: I have been following the Trump/anti-Trump news for a while, now, and it just seems to me that the entire county is off it’s balance. People don’t get the real issues. l have tried one little blog at this, and it is so simple to isolate those issues. What is it about our protected generations that cannot see that food, peace, and jobs are good things and that constant carping and marginalizing is a bad thing. One day at the time, and one thing at a time. I am so pleased that Trump won, now, that I can’t believe it. We may have some hope, now at least for a while.
