Fiorina Is The Smartest Person In The Race 4

Republican Presidential Candidate Carly Fiorina

Republican Presidential Candidate Carly Fiorina

Yep! Carly Fiorina is without a doubt the smartest person in the race for President of The United States. Just take a look at her background.

Carly Fiorina got her bachelor’s degree at Stanford University, the West Coast Ivory Tower of choice. She has an MBA from the University of Maryland, and a master’s degree from the Sloan School of Management at MIT. Friends, it just doesn’t get any better or smarter than this. Note that she is also a mother, and an employee during most of this time. She actually worked as a Kelly girl, i.e., a secretary. So, her claim that she went from secretary to CEO is absolutely the truth.

It takes a lot of strength, brains, and energy to do what she did. She worked at AT&T where the corporate culture was anything but dynamic and feminine. Women executives almost never existed. Not only did she reach executive heights in a stultified culture at AT&T, but she absolutely had to kick ass and be several levels of talent above her male competitors. The  woman is a dynamo, and a legitimate intellectual. She is a doer, capable of getting things done that others can only talk about.

She was hired as CEO of Hewlett Packard (HP) because of her record of accomplishments at ATT and Lucent. Her great sin was proposing and executing the purchase of the gargantuan computer company, Compaq. There was an ugly fight between Fiorina and the son of the founder of HP, David Packard, where Packard bitterly opposed the purchase of Compaq. Fiorina was eventually fired for the Compaq purchase.

Later, it was finally conceded that HP has survived to this day partially because of the purchase and revenue of various components of Compaq. HP spun out the test equipment divisions upon which the company was built, and bet their future on the computer business. Compaq not only brought a PC manufacturing business to HP, but also a software and hardware servicing business that had been acquired by Compaq from Wang. These revenues contribute handsomely to HP’s revenues  to this day. Fiorina saw the value in Compaq, and took advantage of the situation.

You may wonder just how Fiorina has ready answers to questions posed during the presidential debates. This is because of her background. She makes it her business to know what she is talking about. Contrast her answers to Donald Trump’s. Intellectually, Trump is way behind the curve compared to Carly. Curz and Rubio are also brilliant, but, Carly has explored the options more than any of the other candidates.

From what I am saying, you might think that I am a Carly Fiorina fan. You would be right. My dream ticket is Carly Fiorina as President because she would shred Hillary’s credibility in a micro-second, and Rubio as VP.  We need the power of Fiorina as President, and the conservatism and Hispanic connections of Marco Rubio as VP.  It’s going to be a tough race.

Being a realist, I would still vote for Trump if he is the Republican nominee. We really have to win.

Donald Trump and Andrew Jackson 2

Donald Trump

Donald Trump

As this election season goes on and on, it is hard to get used to the idea that Donald Trump may very well be the Republican presidential candidate. With fourteen Republican candidates, you would think that the poll numbers would be closer that they are, but Trump is polling about forty-percent nationally right now. It is looking more and more like The Donald will be our man.

Trump has the ability to make almost every issue a personal issue. All issues are subordinate to his opinion, and no other idea or opinion has currency. Take for example the revelation in last night’s CNN debate that Trump had no clue what the triad, the nuclear strategy of the USA is. This is kind of a basic building block that is a legacy of the cold war, but still remains in effect. Triad means that we can launch nuclear weapons from airplanes, submarines, and from land-based missile silos, hence the triad.

In Trump’s parlance the triad strategy makes little difference because he didn’t know about it. He hand-waived the idea that this knowledge was important to anything or anybody. This is the way the man operates. If it isn’t about him he doesn’t want to talk about it.

So, what does this have to do with Andrew Jackson, the first Democrat President elected in history, and the founder of the Democrat Party? It is surprising how the two men compare.

There were about three things that Andrew Jackson hated, and I mean really hated in his life. First, there were the British. Some of Jackson’s family died in the Revolutionary War, primarily due to the hardships forced on the colonists by the British. The next group of people to earn Jackson’s enmity were the American Indians. Andrew Jackson was responsible for the Trail of Tears forced on the Cherokee, Creeks, and Choctaw. The third group were people that he either didn’t like, or insulted him or his family in some way.

Trump and Jackson compare with the fact that if the conversation isn’t about them, they are not interested. They are alike in that they both achieved wealth to a degree in their personal lives. They are also alike in that they both exhibit courage. You simply don’t mess around with this type of person because they will hurt you. Reference Trump’s defense against Jeb Bush where Trump made it personal and threw personal insults at Bush. Andrew Jackson didn’t like the Director of The National Bank, so he didn’t renew the bank’s charter. That’s the kind of guy we are talking about.

If Trump were elected what could we expect? I am afraid that what we see is what we get. I don’t think there are any deeper thoughts or governing strategies other than what we see on stage. After all, he is all about the stage and poll numbers.

Why do you like Donald Trump and why do so many people say they will vote for him?

Ban The Doctors! 11

Hillary Clinton Speaks At Event At Center For American ProgressThis week we have been treated to the ridiculous picture of Hillary Clinton giving her best stump speech, railing against guns. Those mean guns are out there are killing lots of people, she says. There’s over 30,000 people killed by guns every year, and we cannot let that happen, the woman continues.

Of course, everybody knows that very few of those killed are in a mass murder situation, and then there are those poor Chicago black kids killed by their black neighbors. There are accidents and suicides, Dick Cheney notwithstanding. By the time you work your way through the numbers, Hillary is obviously out to lunch.

Just in case you are curious, here’s the Wikipedia write-up.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2013, firearms (excluding BB and pellet guns) were used in 84,258 nonfatal injuries (26.65 per 100,000 U.S. citizens) [2] and 11,208 deaths by homicide (3.5 per 100,000),[3] 21,175 by suicide with a firearm,[4] 505 deaths due to accidental discharge of a firearm,[4] and 281 deaths due to firearms-use with “undetermined intent”[5] for a total of 33,169 deaths related to firearms (excluding firearm deaths due to legal intervention). 1.3% of all deaths in the country were related to firearms.[1][6]

Of course, we all know that a gun is not necessary for suicide. My son killed himself with a CAT5 cable. You don’t see me marching to ban Ethernet cables, do you? That would be stupid. He might have used a gun, but we knew he was suicidal and refused to have a gun in the house.

OK. That’s a lot of folks being injured and killed with guns. However, it helps to take a look at the real story of deaths in the United States. Take a seat, because more people are killed in automobile accidents every year than in gun related murders, suicides, and mass murders.

But, wait. There’s even more to the story than Hillary Clinton’s raspy intonations. The number three killer of citizens in the United States is not guns, traffic accidents, or Coca-Cola. The third highest killer in the United States is our medical industry.

Say what?

That’s right. Over 100,000 people in the United States of America are killed by their medical doctors every year. No, this is not people who otherwise would have been dead, and the doctor could not get to them in time. These are people with major and minor illnesses that trusted the medical industry in the United States and died for their trouble.

There’s a term for this phenomenon, and it is iatrogenesis. I have blogged on this before, and it looks like a good time to remind folks of what’s happening.

Of course, Hillary doesn’t talk about this huge problem. Instead she homes in on a relatively small problem, but one with big political support, mostly from liberals who simply cannot figure out when to come in out of the rain. The gun control solutions are irrational. No surprise, there.

You see, with millions of firearms in the hands of Americans at the present, it is beyond rational to take those guns away. We are guaranteed the right to bear arms, and with the rise in terrorist actions world-wide, it is obvious that we need those guns.

When seconds matter, you need a gun. Terrorists and home invaders will not wait for the police to show up. No, they are long gone, and you may be long dead by the time law enforcement gets there.

So, our unthinking former Secretary of State can rave all she wants, but we will never give up our guns.

Guns don’t kill people, doctors do!

Trump Is Right – Muslims Celebrated 4

Yeah, I know. The networks say there was no video or other reports on Muslim reactions to the 9/11 attacks. Donald Trump says thousands of Muslims celebrated, and I remember similar reports. Is there a smoking-gun video that Muslims were tailgating on roof-tops in Jersey City, celebrating the carnage while the World Trade Center crashes to the ground.

I remember reports in the press. What reports do you say? Nobody seems to remember specific reports, but they were there. Especially the citizens of New York City remember the reports. They may have come over the internet, talk radio, or just random reports that squeaked through the filters of the mainstream new media. The reports were there.

The reports mentioned places like Jersey City and Paterson, New Jersey, cities with significant Muslim populations. There were also reports of Muslim students at university student centers celebrating the attacks as they were in progress.

Did we accept those reports as true? Of course we did, especially given the reaction in the Palestinian territory and the extreme celebrations seen there. There was no mistake in that video.

Breitbart News has found the smoking gun. Here is a September 16, 2001 CBS report about Muslims celebrating. It talks about swarms, SWARMS of Muslims celebrating in Jersey City.

Could it be that we have witnessed another cover-up by the mainstream media?
