I Told You So!

Barack Obama now has the distinction of having lost two wars. TWO WARS that have already been fought, and that the United States of American has won. Thousands of lives and billions of dollars were spent in these endeavors only to be thrown away by what some people call the smartest guy in the room.

To make matters worse, this whole debacle was foretold by millions of Americans when Barack Obama first took office over five years ago. In only five years Barack Obama has thrown away all this blood and treasure, all in obedience to lofty-thinking, simplistic left-wing morons. I am talking about the Democrat Party, here.

The ability to say, “I told you so!” is not helpful, at all. Barack Obama has dropped-the-ball, screwed-the-pooch, stepped-on-his-Johnson, pooped-in-the-punchbowl, farted-at-the-finish, and has made a mess of generally everything since he has been in office.

But, saying “I told you so!” reflects on me. Call it what you like, but it is all about Obama’s hubris.

You can say what you want about the necessity of fighting these wars, but at the time we thought it was the right thing to do. Those who say otherwise now are denying their own history. Plus, we all knew that there would be a time when our presence in Iraq would be a plus factor in dealing with Iran. Now, Iran is planning on entering Iraq for their own purposes with no opposition.

Oh, what a fool we have for a President. Welcome to the Obama age where everybody is a loser.

  1. This IS the bottom line here, and well stated. Wars cannot be ended, they can only be won or lost. If one is willing to do whatever it takes, any enemy can be defeated resulting in a win.

  2. “Wars cannot be ended, they can only be won or lost”

I have never thought of war in that context, but it makes sense. We have more at stake in the Middle-East than just oil. Our best ally there is under permanent siege.

    Thanks, Kid.

  3. Oh, my, you really lay it on the line here, Bob, and you are SO RIGHT. EVERYBODY is a loser. I just can’t get the wives and folks and children of our dead soldiers who appear to have died for nothing now, thanks to Obama.
kid’s right, but in THIS battle with terrorism, they’re like cockroaches and for every dead one, there are ten more….and now they’re joined by the 5 we SET FREE. But, no worries! Obama said that if they hurt us again, we can easily find them. Not sure, then, why it took 10 years to find Bin Laden? And, just how badly “hurt” will Obama allow before we go after them…another 9/11? or a dirty bomb? They were bad before, now they have 12 years of incarceration behind them…think what You’ve been doing in TWELVE YEARS.. Long time. We should have got them on the battle field.

  4. Z: I remember when before we went into Afghanistan, there was lot of speculation in the press as to whether American soldiers could fight terrorists in Afghanistan. Fox interviewed a former Soviet soldier (special forces type) who described the Afghans as being like cock roaches. It is such a barbarous country that it is tempting to just write them off. After all, much of the world’s heroine comes from there. We have tried to help those people, but now they have figuratively jumped the shark by negotiating with the Taliban. Of course, Obama did that, too. Come to think of it, Obama has jumped the shark. Of course I borrowed that idiom from popular television.

  5. Angel: I just don’t see how it will ever stop. Normally I am optimistic about the world, but things are getting tougher because we have a President that does moronic things.

  6. Bob, Afghanistan weill never be a unifed country and frankly, there is no way to think that somehow we are going to cause the islamic civil war that started in 632AD to come to an end so that the rest of the muslums can live in peace. Not unless we are ready to make the big decisions. Currently, we send our sons and daughters over there with this kindergarten minded ROE.

    It’s insane.

  7. Kid: You are right, of course, but do we still want to grant terrorist free run of entire countries to train, stage, and execute attacks on other countries? It seems like we are damned if we do and damned if we don’t. To me it’s kinda like the old hippie bumper sticker, “War is not the answer!”. I don’t think we have settled on the question, yet.

  8. Angel: Yes. Thank you. You sure know how to wake a guy up and get to blogging. The news is so obviously negative that I am letting the rest of you write it up. I am waiting for something positive to say. I might have to wait a long time.
